My professional path to this point, however, began decades ago on the factory floor of a family-owned aerospace manufacturing company. It’s there that I learned the craft of machining and fabrication and, within a few years, had the privilege of managing that same facility for nearly a decade — a role that afforded me an in-depth understanding of both manufacturing and supply chain management.

While Director of Strategic Sourcing at Persimmon Technologies, I established a domestic supply base in just 90 days, and as Procurement Manager at Blue Origin, I sourced and onboarded 30 U.S. suppliers to meet ITAR requirements and implemented RFQ/PO systems in a similar time frame. I also built supplier partnerships and grew and mentored the procurement staff from a team of one to a team of 20 that included buyers, QA staff, mechanical engineers, and planners.

These experiences, and others like them, sharpened my ability to implement solutions at a pace that meets the demands of emerging tech, where time is often the most critical factor.
